Selection standard of butterfly valve

1. Butterfly valve is suitable for larger diameter valve (such as DN600 or above); 
2. Butterfly valve is suitable for the field with short structure length;
3. Butterfly valve is not suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure pipeline system. It is generally used for medium such as crude oil, oil and water with temperature ≤ 80 ℃ and pressure ≤ 1.0MPa;
4. Because the pressure loss of butterfly valve is larger than that of gate valve and ball valve, butterfly valve is suitable for pipeline system with lax pressure loss requirements;
5. The butterfly valve is suitable for the pipeline that needs flow regulation;
6. Butterfly valve is suitable for quick opening and closing;
7. In throttling control and mud medium, butterfly valve is recommended for short structure length, fast opening and closing speed and low pressure cut-off

8. Butterfly valve can be selected in double position regulation, necking channel, low noise, gasification phenomenon, a small amount of leakage to the atmosphere and corrosive medium.

When using butterfly valve under special conditions, such as throttling regulation, strict sealing requirement, severe wear, low temperature (cryogenic), etc., special butterfly valve with three eccentricity or double eccentricity of specially designed metal sealing regulating device shall be used.
