What Should be Paid Attention to When Using and Installing the Wafer Check Valve

Wafer check valve is a kind of check valve. Check valve refers to the valve that automatically opens and closes the valve flap depending on the flow of the medium itself, and is used to prevent the medium from flowing back. It is also called check valve, one-way valve, reverse flow valve, and back pressure valve. The check valve is a kind of automatic valve, its main function is to prevent the back flow of the medium, prevent the pump and the drive motor from reversing, and the discharge of the container medium. Check valves can also be used to supply pipelines for auxiliary systems where the pressure may rise above the system pressure.

The wafer check valve is light in weight, small in size, and easy to install between flanges. The inside of the valve is composed of two semicircular springs and a plate surface. The spring is fixed on the valve body with a pin to close the valve plate, and the fluid pressure makes The opening spring deforms quickly, which can protect the pipeline from water hammer damage.

Precautions for the installation of the wafer check valve:
1. When placing the pipeline, pay attention to make the passing direction of the wafer check valve consistent with the flow direction of the fluid;
2. Install in a vertically placed pipeline. For horizontally placed pipelines, place a wafer check valve vertically;
3. Use a telescopic tube between the wafer check valve and the butterfly valve. Never connect it directly with other valves;
4. Avoid adding pipe joints and obstructions within the operating radius of the valve plate;
5. Do not install a reducer in front or behind the wafer check valve;
6. When installing a wafer check valve near the elbow, pay attention to leaving enough space;
7. When installing a wafer check valve at the outlet of the water pump, at least six times the diameter of the valve should flow out to ensure that the butterfly plate receives fluid.
