Three-eccentric Dutterfly Valve Structure Characteristics and Applicable Industry Introduction

The structure of the butterfly valve is single eccentric, double eccentric, and triple eccentric. Today, we will mainly introduce the following three eccentric butterfly valves.

 



The triple eccentric butterfly valve adopts a triple eccentric metal hard sealing structure, which is mainly composed of valve body, valve seat, butterfly plate sealing ring, pressure plate, stem packing, and bearings. The valve body and the valve seat are generally conjoined components, and the sealing surface layer of the valve seat is welded with temperature- and corrosion-resistant alloy materials. The sealing ring is composed of a laminated stainless steel sheet and a flexible graphite sheet, and is fixed on the butterfly plate by a pressing plate and a fastener with a locking function. The valve stem is supported by two bearings mounted on the valve body. The valve stem and the butterfly plate are connected by a spline or square tenon. After the valve stem receives the input torque, the butterfly plate is driven by the spline or square tenon to open and close.

Compared with ordinary butterfly valves, triple eccentric butterfly valves have high temperature resistance, light operation, no friction when opening and closing, and relying on the torque of the transmission mechanism to ensure sealing when closing, which improves the sealing performance of the butterfly valve and prolongs the service life of the valve.
