1.What is the Pneumatic Thread Ball Valve

Pneumatic Threaded Ball Valve means a regular threaded ball valve with a pneumatic actuator. Pneumatic Thread Ball Valves are designed for quick opening and closing. The valve comprises of a split 2-piece body with PTFE seats. The pneumatic actuator offers single acting or double acting options. Double acting actuators use an air pressure signal (80-120 PSI) to open and close the valve. Single acting (Spring return) actuators use an air pressure signal (80-120 PSI) to open and springs to close the valve. The valve will fail closed upon loss of air signal. They rotate 90 degrees (quarter-turn) from fully open to fully closed.  This unit give an exceptional combination, that offers trouble free operation coupled with high performance. 3. How to install a Pneumatic Thread Ball Valve

Pneumatic Thread Ball Valves may be installed in vertical or horizontal pipe runs, they are bi-directional therefore flow direction is not critical, however the best practice is to set up the valve handle to point in the direction of flow whenever possible. The Pneumatic Thread Ball Valve stem orientation is not critical, however any deviation from vertical is a compromise. Installation upside down is not recommended because it can cause dirt to accumulate by the stem packing. The best practice is to install with the valve stem facing upwards whenever possible.
